Finally, completed the Dreamcatcher masterpiece! About 16 different coloured skeins produced this gorgeous piece.

Finished at last with all the backstitching in black. The Long Stitch for the feathers took a while to complete but the effect was worth it.

One of LouLou's greatest talents other than doing summersaults in the air is....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz. Awwwww, lookit that, her little white teeth can be seen. Smiling in her slumber, must be some dream she's having!

And another...

Can't get enough of those cutesy sleeping cat photos can we?

Close up of Dreamcatcher project.

Dreamcatcher

Work in Progress. Stitched on 14ct white aida. Started in September 2004. Progress has been rather slow! A fairbit of backstitching in black. The thread mix makes this piece very colourful. Very painless to stitch as it's full stitches and long stitches (for the feathers) only.

Seashells

Completed March 2003. Stitched on 14ct cream aida. This took me 10 days to complete. :-) A lot of thread mixing but the shading of the colours as a result of it is amazing, especially for the pinkish/mauve-ish tones on the shell on the left of the picture.

French Lavender

Completed July 2003. Worked on 14ct pre-printed cream aida. The printed bits are the details surrounding the cross stitch area. Beautiful piece if I might say so myself. My favourite. Half stitches and full stitches only but the details are amazing.

Orchid

A Lanarte kit. Piece worked on 28ct Linen. Completed March 2004. I skipped the background backstitch details coz i was just dying to move on to another project. This piece took a while to complete as I find evenweave a bit more tedious to work on but the end result was worth it.

Kitty!

Completed February 2003. Stitched on 14ct baby blue aida. This took 5 days to complete. Looks like our family cat LouLou! Adorable...my cat that is. ;-)

Japanese Ladies

Completed Oct 2003. This is one of my favourite pieces. Stitched on 14ct white aida. It took a stitching frenzy of 1.5 months to complete. A lot of backstitching in black but really does bring out the details. A few fractional stitches but it was pretty painless. :-) The amateur photography (my bad) does not do justice to the real colours of the threads though. Can't wait to frame this one up.

Gladioli

Completed December 2002. Stitched on 11ct(i think) white aida. Finished it over a weekend.

Botanic Garden

Completed December 2002. Stitched on 11ct white aida. Found the chart from a cross stitch book in the library. Sweet...

Chinese Wedding

Completed December 2002. Stitched on 14ct white aida. A kit from PINN. Stitching with red threads was a bit hard going for a while... all that red! The backstitching with gold metallic thread really brought out the whole picture. Took me a 1 month to complete this.

Autumn Leaves

Completed February 2003. Stitched on 14ct cream aida. My absolute favourite after French Lavender. Stitched this while watching the America's Cup 2003 on tv. Took me 1 month to complete. The frame around it is all in half stitches. A lot of thread mixing and the colours of the leaves are just so unbelievably real.

Ming Peonies

Completed June 2004. Stitched on 14ct white aida. Took 1 month to complete this. Had a stab at stitching my chinese name (on right side of picture)... definitely need more practise there!
